INAUGURAL CEREMONY FOR THE WAYFINDING PROJECT

With much excitement I invite you to join me on March 24, 2016, 6-8 PM at the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU for the Inaugural Ceremony of The Wayfinding Project, my solo art installation that will be on view from March 25-December 21, 2016 (Equinox to Solstice)!

This installation will house The Wayfinding Lab, a collaborative research project, initiated by ProfessorJack Tchen, exploring the many facets of Indigenous life along the Lenape Trail (present-day Broadway) before and after Hudson's "discovery" in 1609. The lab uses technologies—time-tested and cutting edge—to reconstruct one block of Broadway with geo-data in augmented/virtual reality to simultaneously overlay the pasts and futures of Mannahatta/Manhattan.

This humbling process has, and continues to, expand and introduce new directions in my trajectory, including contributing to Indigenous Futurism through new technologies as well as meeting many teachers. I hope you will take part in this process!

With Respect,
Beatrice Glow
